NO ZOOMING EVER unless you have a very high quality lens and camera
Be ORGANISED -------- ALWAYS ------ NO EXCUSES
Always refer back to your production design plan focusing on the realisation of your intention
Clearly demonstrate your understanding of your chosen media form, style(s), and or genre(s)
Set a strict shooting timeline that allows for reshoots, bad weather days and unexpected hold ups
Always write a list of what you need for each shoot: equipment, props, actors and have back ups for anything that could break
Dont have the right equipment? organise to hire it, buy it cheap off eBay, find alternative ways of getting the desired effect
Have a strict editing timeline and stick to it, dont allow yourself to fall behind.
If you have never used the editing program or equipment you have chosen make sure you leave PLENTY of time to get to know the program/equipment to get the best out of your hard work
ALWAYS ASK FOR HELP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE
